We are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few inches of space in your suitcase and take supplies for area schools or medical clinics in need, you’ll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families.

Merely bring any donation items with you to Belize and deliver them to our front desk staff who will then deliver them to our local organizations on your behalf.

Projects

1. St. John’s Memorial School, Placencia Village, Belize
   Founded in September 2009. From age 3 to 12. Placencia is a fishing village (pop. 1500) which now make most of its living from tourism, and the children come from a wide variety of backgrounds. The school is housed in a pretty but small house right next to the sea.

   Needs:

   • General School Supplies: Book Bags, Chalk,Colored Construction Paper, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Dry-Erase Markers, Glue Sticks, Handheld Pencil Sharpeners, Pencils, Pens, Rulers, Calculators
   • Flash Cards: (English) Alphabet, Math
   • Text/Reading Books: (English) Age-Appropriate Story Books
   • Art Supplies: Acrylic Paints, Acrylic Paint Brushes, Beads for Bead Work, Buttons, Craft Glue, Craft Scissors, Croche Yarn and Needles, Poster Paper, Stencils
   • Educational Games/Toys: Puzzles
   • Sports/Outdoor Activity: Frisbees,Jump Ropes, Basketballs, Soccer Balls

    

2. Placencia, Belize Humane Society is “Helping People Help Animals”
   Society furnishes basic pet care items that all Humane Societies need on a regular basis.

   Needs:

   • General Medical: Band-Aids, Antibiotic Ointments, Bars of Soap, and Sanitary Napkins
   • Animal Food: Cat Food, Cat Snacks, Dog Food, and Dog Snacks
   • Animal Supplies: Blankets, Brushes and Combs, Cat Carriers, Cat Crates, Chew Toys, Collars, Dog Carriers (All Sizes), Dog Crates (All Sizes), Dog Gates, Feeding Trays, Flea Shampoo, Food and Water Bowls, Grooming Tools, Harnesses, Leashes, Pet Bedding, Pet Shampoo and Conditioners, Rugs
